The modified fish pie recipe of our household
Ingredients
- 800g potatoes
- 4 eggs
- 450g fish pie mix
- 50g butter
- 100g sweetcorn
- 175g prawns (cooked)
- 50g flour (plain)
- 500ml skimmed milk
- 100g cheddar cheese, grated

Boil the potatoes for 10-12 minutes with the skins on. Mash when cooked. Meanwhile, hardboil the eggs then shell and quarter them.

In a dish, put the fish pie mix, quartered eggs, sweetcorn and prawn.

For the sauce, melt the butter into a pan then slowly stir in the flour, cook for 1 minute, then gradually mix in the milk. Boil, and simmer until thickened. Season and add it to the main dish, stir.

Spread the mashed potatoes on top, then the grated cheese, apply cooking spray and cook for 30-35 minutes at 180°C / 160°C (fan oven) / 360°F / Gas Mark 4
