Bread Pudding with Apples & Raisins

Chilly autumn nights call for one thing and one thing only - comfort food!
Ingredients
- 180g wholemeal bread, torn into small chunks
- 50g raisins
- 1⁄4 tsp cinnamon
- 3 tbsp skimmed milk
- 2 apples, peeled, cored and cut into thin wedges
- 200ml low-fat custard
- 1⁄2 tsp granulated sugar

Preheat the oven to 180°C / 160°C (fan oven) / 360°F / Gas Mark 4.

Put the bread in a large bowl with the raisins, cinnamon and milk. Mix until combined then tip into a medium baking dish.

Scatter the apples over the bread mixture, then pour over the custard. Gently mix so that the custard fills the gaps and the bread is well coated.

Bake for 20 minutes or until the pudding is crisp and golden. Sprinkle with the granulated sugar just before serving.
